Speakers: Tameka Potter and Rachel Evans from Applewood Centers came to talk about the history of Applewood Centers, where the Jones Home fits into the history, and what they are currently doing.
The Jones Home was established in 1887.  It along with several other organizations, including Cleveland's first free school and charity founded in 1832, have merged over time to become the Applewood Centers of today.
They currently provide foster care and adoption, residential services, counseling, psychiatry, education, juvenile justice and motherhood services in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties.
