Students
The Career Exploration Program visited. Matt Jancar is the teacher of the program, which gives students a chance to explore careers through field trips, job shadowing and more. It has grown from 10 students the first year to 25 this year, which is the third year of the program. He is looking for people in the community to interview to get an idea of what's involved in that career. You can reach out to mjancar@scsmustangs.org if you'd like to participate.

Speaker
Our speaker was new Chief of Police Thomas O'Deens. He took office on September 1st, and is beginning his 28th year with the Strongsville Police. Prior to becoming chief he was in charge of the patrol division, which consists of 45 officers who are out there 24 hours a day.
He emphasized that the Strongsville Police is there to serve the community, so if you see something that doesn't seem right reach out.
If you are interested in seeming more of what the department does he had applications for the Citizen Police Academy, and Ride Along Programs, which are linked below.
