Meeting at the Fairgrounds for Chili Open Setup tomorrow.  Due to construction at the fairgrounds the easiest entrance is Gate 2.  If you are coming from Bagley on Eastland Rd there is a small sign indicating Gate 2, and it is past E Center St, and just before the light at E Bridge St.  If you are heading North on Eastland from Fowles it is past Gate 3 that we usually use, and just after the E Bridge St lights.

Speaker

Our speaker was Kevin Spencer, a retired football coach of 48 years, 26 of which as an NFL special teams coach.  He shared 8 principles he lives by, and that he shares with the youth when he talks to them.  His principles are:
  1. Don't be afraid to try something new
  2. Don't fear failure. It is part of the process
  3. Don't burn bridges.  Build relationships.
  4. Master the things that take no talent: Work Ethic, Discipline, Optimism, and Passion
  5. Faith, in God and self
  6. Networking via performance
  7. Always be ready
  8. Dress for the job you want, not the job you have
