Member Recognition

Last week Ashley recognized a couple of "Rotarians Being Good".  Neal Klabunde for his work on the newsletter, and Sandy Croft for her efforts finding speakers and members, and writing them thank you notes.

Students

With the new school year we are back to having students visiting.  Last Friday we had the girls tennis team along with coach Sean Black.  The team just finished their regular season in second place in the conference, and is heading into the conference tournament this week.

Birthdays

Michelle Lynch (with an assist from Linda) honored our September birthdays, Ruth Grega, Ravi Velu, Brad Nudell, Kevin Crocker, Rick Voigt, Rob Simon, Bea Hovanec and George Anagnostou.  Ruth Grega won the birthday drawing, and a special Cincinnati gift from Michelle.

Speaker

Last week our speaker was Sharon Hargrove for our "invite a prospective member" meeting.  Wife of past Indian's player and manager Mike Hargrove, Sharon shared many stories of their journey from meeting in 7/8th grade in their small town school to the big leagues.

They lived in Strongsville for 25-30 years, and have been a supporter of the club for many years, especially the Chili Open where they have donated their suite, and Sharon has been a celebrity auctioneer.
