Presentations
Friday was a day for presentations.
1. Starting with a presentation on behalf of ShelterBox and the District from Past District Governor Beverly Ghent-Skryzksnki in recognition of the donation we made to ShelterBox after the response team member came and spoke to the club recently.
2. That was followed by a check presentation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as the main beneficiary of the Chili Open.
3. Mayor Perciak visited the club to day to celebrate Richard "Kip" Kiplinger for his service to the community of Strongsville since he was a charter member of the Strongsville Jaycees in 1962, charter member of the Rotary Club of Strongsville in 1978, and numerous other civic projects and groups, along with being the managing partner of a CPA company that bears his name for 44 years.
Kids Fest and Duck Race
Duck Race and Kids Fest planning is well under way. The three big areas we need help:
Volunteers: signup at the meeting or online. There are a lot of areas and activities at the Kids Fest, and volunteers are needed setting up, manning activities, and clearing up afterwards.
Duck Sales: Selling ducks is one of the ways we raise money to host the kids fest. We had a flash sale last Friday, but get the word out about the chance to win a share of $4,000 prize money, with a first place prize of $2,000. The winner does not need to be present to win, and buying online will save you standing in line at the event.
Sponsors: If you know any potential sponsors let Bill DeMarco or Dustin Passalacqua know.
