Member Bio
Brent Painter gave his bio as an existing member. He has been in the club about 13 or 14 years, and was originally invited by Bruce Keenen. He grew up in Strongsville, having moved here in first grade. Brent attended BW, during which time he interned in the City Finance Department. The City offered Brent a job that he turned down, attending grad school at Akron, and working at Key Bank. 19 years ago the old Economic Development Director at the city gave him a call to see if he wanted to work for him, which he did, and then when his boss retired in 2010, and Brent has been a department of one since then.
Brent has been married 16 years. When he got married the priest didn't show, and the Mayor stepped up out of the crowd and performed the ceremony off the cuff. His wife works at SW General, and they have two sons, a 12 year old and 8 year old. They enjoy vacationing in a pop up camper which they recently upgraded to at least have their own bathroom.
Blue Badge
Becky Piper was presented her blue badge. She set a new record for how fast anyone has met all the requirements, and then headed south to Florida. Becky is helping keep track of our red badge process, so in addition to the reminder at the bottom of the emails there will be a checklist by the sign-in table.
Installation Banquet
Our installation banquet will be on July 12th at Via Roma, which used to be Carrie Cerrinos.
Save the Date!
New Sergeant at Arms
With Kevin Lynch leaving the club for North Carolina Pete Nixon agreed to step in.
