Meeting Recap

Jamie Debenham gave the invocation and led the pledge.

Membership Moment

Michele Lynch celebrated August birthdays of Jim Morehouse, Shannon Burns, Ron Andras, Kris Heinrich, Paul Psota, and Patrick Greco.  Also Rotary anniversaries of Nick Gerogosian (15 years) and Jeet Ramdas (3 years).  Pat Greco was the winner of the gift certificate.
Kip presented Brian Krusz with a Harry Fuehrer Fellow award that he earned.  Nancy Fuehrer was present attending with a returning exchange student Albrecht Hauger from Munich, Germany.  He was here during the 1985/86 year, and Harry and Nancy Fuehrer were one of the host families.

Club Service

Michele Lynch is looking for ideas of activities that we could do to build fellowship in the club.  Some of the ideas that have been raised already include: picnic in the park, dragon boat paddling, hiking, or a poker tournament.  If you have any thoughts, and would be willing to coordinate the event, let Michele know.
Town Center Groundbreaking
The City of Strongsville held a ceremonial groundbreaking ceremony for the Strongsville Town Center Initiative.  The Strongsville Rotary has pledged $50,000 towards the project, and current Rotary Club of Strongsville president John Turnbull participated in the ceremony.  Proceeds from StrongFest benefit this project among other local and international projects, and we look forward to hosting future events at the new facilities.
