The main doors to the Senior Center should be unlocked tomorrow, come in the main doors instead.  Badges will be that side of the room.

Food Bank Friday

This Friday is Food Bank Friday.  The food bank currently has a special need for PB&J and Tuna.

Queen of Hearts

Joyce Reed's table won the table drawing  and are responsible for putting up the banners and selling tickets this week.  There are 37 cards left and the Queen is worth $454.

Jones Home Game

The Jones Home Game will be Tuesday, July 25th when the Guardians take on the Royals.  Tickets for Rotarians are $25.  Please contact Ravi if you are interested in going so we make sure you have ticket.

Meeting Recap

Ashley Gay gave the invocation and led the pledge as she led the meeting for the last time in her second term.

New Member Induction

Ashley Gay inducted two new members.  Jennifer Milbrandt of the City of Strongsville returns to the club, and Matt Long of Achievement Centers for Children (Camp Cheerful) joins as a new member.

Dine to Donate

George Schindler and Chris Kneeland of Rosewood Grill visited the club.  Rosewood Grill is closed for remodeling and will officially reopen on Thursday July 13th.  We are invited to be the first to experience the new look on Wednesday July 12th, and 50% of the dinner check (food) will be donated to the Town Center Initiative.  Call 440-356-7202 ext 1 for reservations.

StrongFest Committee

The StrongFest Committee will be meeting after the meeting Friday at the Senior Center.

Senior Picnic

The Senior Picnic will be July 28th.  Volunteers needed for setup, grilling and serving.  Signup online or at the meeting.

VFW Golf Outing

The VFW Golf Outing will be August 11th, that the club will be sponsoring.  Jim Karecki has forms if you want to golf.  Please let John know if you will be golfing on the 11th as it does conflict with our Friday meeting, so we can adjust the food appropriately.

End Polio Now Baseball Game

Districts 6630, 6650 and 6600 have organized a baseball game to benefit End Polio Now on August 17th against the Tigers.  There are a variety of ticket options available that you can order online.  Also talk to Bruce Kahn about tickets to win the chance to throw out the first pitch at a future game. 

Installation Banquet

At the Installation Banquet Kip, assisted by District Governor David Jones recognized Joyce Reed as a new Paul Harris Fellow, as well as several other Rotarians who had earned their next level Paul Harris recognitions.
 
Ashley Gay and Sheila Dunn presented a special "5 Way Test Award" to Adria Bond in memory of Eddy Bond for showing the true spirit of Rotary in Leadership and Action.  Their daughter and son-in-law were also in attendance.
 
Ashley then presented Rising Star Awards to Dustin Passalacqua and Sean Grandage, Certificate of Appreciation Plaques to Dan Cricks and Jeff Ellis, President's Awards to Bill DeMarco and TJ Gigliotti, and Rotarian of the Year to Mary Kaminski.
 
The outgoing president's speech folllowed, and then incoming President John Turnbull presented Ashley an Ice Bucket in appreciation for her dedication as president.  We then had the incoming president's speech, and installation of the President, Club Board, and Foundation Boards by District Governor David Jones.
 
The formal portion of the program finished with Pat Hayes winning the StrongFest Bourbon Basket, and then the evening was opened to fun and dancing.
