StrongFest

Yard Games: Jim Moorehouse is looking for yard games (cornhole, giant jenga etc) for the StrongFest game pavillion.  Please bring Friday to the meeting, and we may test those out during our club social / assembly meeting.
Donations: We are still looking for  bottles of wine for the wine pull.  Please bring Friday to the meeting.
StrongFest Tickets: Tickets are available online, or if you need paper tickets please get them from John, and return the stubs to him.  NB - volunteers will need a ticket to get tastings.  In addition volunteers will get a meal credit, and can still get tickets at the early bird price.
Volunteers: Most volunteers should have a shirt from last year, or our club volunteer shirt that we used at Chili Open.  We will have additional volunteer shirts at the meeting Friday.

Neal Klabunde is donating flowers to the event, and all volunteers will be in a drawing to take the flowers home after the event.

If you are volunteering where you will be collecting money (e.g. 50/50 or door ticket sales), and have an iPhone please contact John this week to get setup with an app to run credit cards / CashApp.  It takes about a week to get up and running.

Meeting Recap

Sarah Zatik gave the invocation and led the pledge.

Membership Moment

Ashley led our "Name That Rotarian" game this week.  Don't forget to reply to Ashley if she asks you for some personal information.

Flower Girls

Jennifer Milbrandt introduced the girls who help decorate the city with flowers and decorations, including the hanging flower baskets, flower beds etc around the city owned properties, including the Commons, cemetery and police station.

Speaker

Our speaker was District Governor Julie Brandle.  She shared the Rotary International President's areas of focus, which are peace, mental health, and empowering women and girls.  Julie is a life long girl scout, and the founder and president of Metis Construction Services, and often speaks to young girls in high schools and colleges about careers in construction.

In addition her own special area of interest is the environment.  The rest of the meeting was spent sharing projects that we have done so she knows what's going on in the district.  She also signed on as a sponsor of our StrongFest.
