On Friday after a pregame at the Senior Picnic (rumor has it James Nixon took the leftovers with him for a mid game snack), or a beverage at Rosewood Grill 82 Rotarians, family and friends made the trip to Canal Park in Akron to see George Schindler throw out the ceremonial first pitch. The weather was perfect, the company and fellowship greatly appreciated, and the entertainment provided at the ballpark unparalleled, concluding with fireworks, even if the Akron RubberDucks were nipped at the post by the Binghampton Rumble Ponies.
