Mark your calendars for two upcoming volunteer projects:
1. The annual Arbor Day distribution of seedlings to second graders; and
2. The annual spring cleanup at the Strongsville Historical Village
1. Trees for Kids. On Wednesday, April 21, at 6:00 p.m. about 30 to 35 volunteers are needed to bag seedlings for distribution to the kids. The bagging will be done at the Senior Center and will take a couple hours.

Then, on Friday, April 23, volunteers are needed to deliver the seedlings to the district's eight public elementary schools, along with St. Joseph and John. Two or three people are needed for each school for a project that takes about an hour.

A sign up sheet was passed around the meeting, but some tables didn't get it. To sign up for either Arbor Day activity, contact Bob Ciesick, at rciesick@wideopenwest.com or sign up online by clicking right here.

Also, Bob can use some help this Tuesday, April 20. Second graders at the Strongsville schools made up Earth Day banner which need to be picked up and delivered to the Recreation/Senior center for display. If you can spare an hour or two around 9:00 a.m., contact Bob.

2. Historical Cleanup: This is not a political statement to describe next November. It's the club's annual spring cleanup of the Strongsville Historical Village. That's going to be Saturday morning, April 24, at 9:00 a.m. until about noon. Bring rakes and stuff like that to help tidy up the village for the summer. For more information, contact Tom Gigliotti.
